Today, we are writing a new chapter in very high speed: ▶️A world rail speed record: 574.8 km/h in April 2007. ▶️The #TGV has been sold in 6 countries: #France, #SouthKorea, #Italy, #Spain, #Morocco and the #USA and crosses 9 borders in Europe! ▶️Nearly 1,600 Avelia trains worldwide, including more than 800 very high speed trains The first passengers boarded ‘s famous orange train ‘Patrick’ five days later to travel from Paris to Lyon in two hours and forty minutes! These first turns of the wheels marked the beginning of a fabulous epic that would never cease to stir the passions of #rail enthusiasts throughout the world, but also and above all #TeamAlstom, the privileged creators of this feat, making Alstom the leader in high-speed rail. Today we celebrate 40 years of passion for #highspeed! In September 1981, the Paris-Lyon high-speed line was officially inaugurated.
